Program: Virtual Prenatal Classes

Description of Services: Prenatal and Childbirth Education Classes are offered at The Scarborough Health Network.  Classes provide information and skills preparation for childbirth and the first few weeks of parenthood.

Education classes include:
  • stages of labour and what to expect
  • coping strategies, including breathing techniques
  • when to come to the hospital, including what to bring
  • role of the support person
  • medical interventions, including induction, pain
  • vaginal and cesarean birth
  • hospital information and procedures
  • tips including resources for before and after
  • open discussion

Fees: $50 registration fee
