Description of Services: Patients at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute are given access to assessments and treatments developed through research at the hospital

Services include:
  • technology-based assessments of balance and walking
  • "perturbation-based" balance training to improve balance and prevent falls
  • cardiopulmonary exercise testing to guide safe and optimal exercise during rehabilitation
  • self-management groups to develop an individualized plan for long-term engagement in physical activity and exercise post-rehabilitation
